ABOUT
Suzanne Egeran has over 25 years of experience in the contemporary art world. She has held senior sales positions at prestigious galleries in London, New York and Berlin—including White Cube, Lehmann Maupin and Max Hetzler. Prior to entering the commercial art world, she worked in the Development Departments of New York’s New Museum and The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
In 2009, Egeran launched Egeran Projects & Advisory, a consulting service specializing in museum-quality artworks by established and up-and-coming contemporary artists.
From 2011 to 2013 Egeran was based in Istanbul where she founded and directed Egeran Galeri. During this time she organized a series of groundbreaking shows by Turkish and international artists, many of whom were being shown in Turkey for the first time (including Mel Bochner, Douglas Gordon, and Lewis Baltz).
Today Egeran is based between Antwerp and Paris, and maintains a strong connection to the United States. She continues to curate projects and serve as a conduit between international communities.
Egeran received a B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University (1994), and did her postgraduate studies in Modern and Islamic Arts at the highly regarded Institute of Fine Arts, New York University (NYU).
